For eight years, Park Ridge neighbors might have known Yianni Avgerinos as a dedicated
educator. However, since June 2025, Avgerinos has traded the classroom for the boardroom,
turning a “leap of faith” into a thriving national enterprise.
As the founder of Opaa Cleaning LLC, Yianni is now sharing the story of how he transitioned from local teaching to managing a cleaning service provider that spans the United States.
While Yianni’s roots are local, his business footprint is expanding rapidly. Since 2021, Opaa
Cleaning has grown from a fledgling startup into a nationwide provider. Today, the company
services major markets in Texas, California, and Wisconsin, though its heart remains in the
Midwest. A significant portion of its accounts and partnerships are concentrated right here in
Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
Leaving a stable teaching career was a bittersweet milestone for Yianni. To focus entirely on the
cleaning industry, he also sold his ATM business. This “all-in” approach has yielded remarkable
results, with the company doubling its revenue in less than a year.
Yianni attributes this success to a shift in mindset—moving from a solo entrepreneur to a
strategic leader. “I’ve learned that I can’t be wearing all hats,” he explains, emphasizing the
importance of his support team and two admin assistants who help manage the daily
complexities of a growing business.
In an era where technology moves by the second, Avgerinos has embraced data and AI to stay
ahead. By utilizing advanced Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, he
organizes what he calls RGAs (Revenue Generating Activities). His current 2026 pipeline is a
testament to this organized growth and potential success.
Despite the national scale, Yianni remains committed to the spirit of partnership. He frequently
collaborates with other professionals through subcontracting and discovery calls, always looking
